Christie Lange Ceramics Studio and Gallery

Christie Lange Ceramics Studio and Gallery in Binalong Bay offers a bespoke artist encounter on Tasmania’s Bay of Fires. Set within a leafy garden, with views of Grant’s Lagoon through a fringe of native bush on arrival, this working studio invites visitors to slow down and discover contemporary ceramics where they are made.
During a personal artist talk and studio tour, Christie shares the observations, research and experimentation behind her practice. Discover how lichens, mosses, fungi and Tasmania’s coastal environments inform her sculptures, textured surfaces and intricate porcelain forms. Finished artworks sit alongside works in progress, tools, research books and glaze tests, offering insight into the journey from an initial idea through clay, glaze and firing.
Each visit provides time for conversation and questions, whether about materials, techniques, ecological inspiration or collecting original art. Explore ceramic sculpture, wall works, vessels, porcelain jewellery and the Bay of Fires pottery collection, with the opportunity to purchase directly from the artist in her studio.
Art lovers, collectors and curious travellers are warmly welcomed, with no prior knowledge of ceramics needed. Studio visits are paid experiences available by appointment, lasting approximately thirty minutes. Children are welcome when accompanied and supervised by an adult.
